Eagle Investment Systems Announces V12.0 Release

BOSTON, June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ –

New software upgrade helps investment managers address global regulatory
changes and market volatility, while enhancing transparency and operational
efficiency

Eagle Investment Systems LLC, a leading provider of financial services
technology and a subsidiary of BNY Mellon, announced that the release of Eagle
Version 12.0 will be available at the end of June. The Eagle V12.0 technology
upgrade features significant enhancements and developments across Eagle’s
entire integrated suite of data management, investment accounting and
performance measurement solutions.

Eagle V12.0 features upgrades focused on enhancing the global capabilities
and risk mitigation aspects of Eagle’s products. The new software is designed
to help clients around the world better navigate regulatory change, improve
transparency, and manage their assets more efficiently and effectively in
unpredictable markets.

"Across the globe, we’re seeing unprecedented regulatory change and market
volatility, and in direct response to these challenges we’re excited to
announce Eagle V12.0," said John Lehner, president and chief executive officer
of Eagle. "Whether clients leverage our secure private cloud, Eagle ACCESS(SM),
BNY Mellon’s OnCore(SM) service offering, or have software installed on
premise, we are committed to providing innovative solutions that can help them
operate more efficiently and grow their assets. Eagle V12.0 illustrates how we
continue to invest in our products and in creating opportunities for our
worldwide client base."

"We significantly invested resources in V12.0 on enhancing and developing
all aspects of our suite to address the demands global market changes are
imposing on investment managers," said Jeremy Skaling, head of product
management at Eagle. "Whether they’re in North America, EMEA or APAC, Eagle’s
solutions are flexible to fit client needs and able to handle regulatory and
market changes on a local, regional or global scale."

Enhancements and upgrades to V12.0 were made based on a number of factors,
including client input and proactive developments by Eagle to address market
challenges. New functionality has been added across all Eagle solutions,
including the following highlights:

— The Eagle Data Management Solution offers a host of enhancements
focused on transparency, data governance, and a global user
experience. Eagle Enrichment offers portfolio management
capabilities that enable portfolio, performance and risk
managers to analyze the true economic impact of derivative
holdings in their portfolios. The new Metadata Center allows
users to manage metadata throughout the Eagle solution, from
source to publisher, a critical component of data governance
programs. Eagle V12.0 also expands multilingual capabilities
toward providing data management tools and workflow in multiple
languages.
— The Eagle Accounting Solution includes a number of items to
provide enhanced operational efficiencies and a continued focus
on helping firms efficiently manage assets and mitigate risks,
while providing up-to-date management and reporting solutions for
changing global regulations. To expand tax administration
capabilities, V12.0 includes expanded wash sales processing
specific to disallowance tracking and reporting. Hypothetical
sell enhancements were also made to enable clients to perform
gain/loss analysis while choosing to sell a certain security to
efficiently manage capital gains and losses.
— The Eagle Performance Measurement Solution contains several
enhancements geared specifically to support clients’ global risk
management and analysis capabilities to address market
volatility. Eagle added ex post risk measures and specific
workflow and calculations to streamline support of the UCITS IV
Synthetic Risk Reward Indicator. The derivative enrichment
enhancements provide for robust performance analysis of economic
exposure to derivative instruments. Other enhancements optimize
system support of processing intensive calculations specific to
attribution.

"We’ve introduced several improvements to the underlying technology in
V12.0 to continue our evolution from product provider to becoming a service
platform for the industry," said Marc Firenze, Eagle’s chief technology
officer. "The enhancements support not only our secure private cloud, Eagle
ACCESS, but any client looking to adopt a service-oriented architecture. Other
improvements focus on integrating and orchestrating the complete life cycle of
activities from investment accounting to performance measurement and
information delivery. All these developments help clients reduce technology
risk, manage economic risk with more confidence, operate more efficiently, and
navigate regulatory shifts without disrupting their core business."
